Description
CHKN Editor is a standalone Windows application for preparing a .chkn file for upload. The program writes a new archive beside the original file.
Drop a .chkn into the window, or select it from your file browser. The program then processes the archive in a fixed order and shows each step as it finishes. When the pass is complete, the file is saved next to the source and the window reports the result.
The pass completely changes the files stored in the archive, updates the references so those files still match, reformats everything needed with consistent indentation, and keeps the finished archive under 2MB. Action names can be set before run. Enter a single word and the actions are numbered from it, or enter a number and the names count up from that number. Actions that already share a name continue to share one.
The CHKN Editor is built to save time. The steps that used to be run one program at a time are handled in a single pass. Drop the file in and click once. The program does the rest. What used to take 20 minutes to an hour or more is now finished in under five minutes.
The program is delivered as one executable.
